Based on the legendary players racquet, the Fischer Pro Number One, the 2008 generation Fischer Magnetic Speed Pro Number One offers a midplus head, slightly wider/tapered beam, and heavier heft geared towards advanced players with long swings. This version of the M Pro Number One is a cosmetic update for 2008 and is available as Fischer's "UL" (Ultra Light) weight only. Easily controlled, with a denser string pattern lending itself well to ball control. More generous sweetspot than many players racquets, especially on shots hit near the tip of the frame, yet still very controlled with outstanding feel.

Fischer uses Magnetic Speed technology to enhance the sweetspot and provide a catapult-like effect. As the racquet deforms at impact, a repelling magnetic impulse is generated from polarized magnets placed at 3:00 and 9:00. As the magnets repel each other, a catapult effect is created, boosting power and crispness.
